Sonic X Stamp

Yes, I'm a fan of Sonic X. So sue me.

Personally, I don't really care for the American Sonic cartoons from the 90s (AoStH, SatAM, and Underground). I find them to be overrated, especially SatAM (I don't like the character designs, and the entire premise doesn't interest me at all). And I doubt I'm going to change my mind on that.

But do I have anything against people liking those shows or preferring them? HELL NO. If people like those shows for what they are, I can totally respect that.

Though I have to say, SatAM has some of the most screwed-up fans I've ever seen. The Sonic fanbase as a whole is already screwed-up, but some SatAM fans I've seen just take the cake! To them, I've already spoken heresy just by saying I like Sonic X.

Sonic X is definitely not a perfect show, but I feel it gets more hate than it deserves, and here's a few reasons why:

1. It's closer to how the games are (at least the modern games). Many of the same SatAM fans who complain about Sonic X are the same people who hate every Sonic game that came after Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
2. Chris Thorndyke. I'm not a fan of Chris, either, but hating Sonic X all because of him is just plain stupid if you ask me. I don't even find him to be THAT bad of a character, anyway.
3. The 4Kids dub. For anyone who hates the 4Kids dub, I agree 100% that it was badly done (especially since they removed character deaths). But looking at every other dub 4Kids did (especially One Piece), they were actually MERCIFUL to Sonic X by comparison.

I like Sonic X since it does one thing that the American cartoons NEVER did: adapting the storylines from some of the games. And since I'm a fan of the Sonic Adventure games, I was especially glad that they were the ones that received adaptations.

Also, even though I dislike the 4Kids dub, I actually think some of the voice cast was well-chosen. I used to be a hater of the 4Kids cast, though I've come to appreciate the works of Jason Griffith (Sonic and Shadow), Dan Green (Knuckles), Lisa Ortiz (Amy), and others over the years. My favorite has always been Mike Pollock as Eggman (and I'm glad he's still around).

That's pretty much all I have to say about Sonic X. Again, if anyone prefers the American cartoons, I'm not against it. But please don't attack people for preferring Sonic X or even liking it at all.
